Annapurna Circuit

The Annapurna Circuit is a popular and beautiful trail through the mountains of central Nepal, and it is often ranked among the top ten or twenty treks in the world.  The trail leads around the Annapurna Massif, reaching its highest point at Thorong La Pass (5,416 m/17,769 ft).

Along the way, hikers are rewarded by panoramic vistas of lush river valleys and snow-capped Himalayan Peaks, while passing through a series of picturesque Nepalese villages, where lodging is available in comfortable teahouses.  The total trekking distance can vary from 160-230 km/100-143 mi and it typically takes from 12-22 days to complete, depending on where one chooses to begin and to end, since it is now possible to take motorized transport part way and/or fly back to Pokhara from Jomsom.
